PREP: understanding how learning happens

Take a look at our PREP Class, where you’ll get a peek at how dogs learn. TCCA is a positive reinforcement based training facility. Because this is the method of choice in every class, we want and need our students to understand why positive reinforcement is so effective and how to use it to train your dog. Even if you have taken classes at other facilities, you will really enjoy this two-hour class that is packed with fun activities. You’ll have a chance to practice Positive Reinforcement training skills before attempting to train your dog. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience training from your dog’s perspective. YOUR DOG WILL THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS COURSE!!

Rat Sports

RATS may not be your favorite animal but your dog might have a significant difference of opinion. Dogs who like to hunt rats – LOVE to hunt rats. In many parts of the world dogs still do the job of “ratting” to keep homes, barns and grain storage free of rodents. This sport celebrates dogs being dogs!

The sport of “Barn Hunting” has risen to mainstream doggy fun in the U.S. in just the last few years. “Barn Hunt” is a registered trademark of one of the organizations that offer competitions and they have many trials in MN. (Important: rats are highly protected, no rat is hurt during competitions or our Rat Sports classes.)
