Intermediate Tricks

Can’t get enough of teaching your dog new tricks? This class introduces even more exciting tricks for you to show off as a team. You’ll build on the behaviors your dog learned in Novice Tricks class to be able to combine skills into more complex behavior chains. Learning tricks is a great way to improve your training skills and bond with your dog.
Special Notes: All types of dogs welcome - young, old, large, small. Tricks will be modified, if needed, for dogs’ physical abilities.
This class is best suited for: Dog/handler teams who already have a few tricks in their training repertoire, and who are ready to start teaching a higher level of tricks.

Bring the Following to Class
- Flat buckle collar or harness
- 4-6 foot leash
- Water and water dish
- Small, tasty, easy to digest treats (such as boiled chicken, string cheese)
- A pouch or deep pockets for easy access to treats
- A bed, mat, or cot for your dog
- Clicker
You will learn:
- how to reward each incremental step of a behavior to get to the final result
- how to start building behavior chains
- how to develop a training plan
- how to train a variety of new tricks
Your Dog will learn:
- To jump through your encircled arms or hoop
- To open/close a door or drawer
- Roll over
- Crawl
- Head down
- Go to place/bed
