Novice Tricks has been expanded and revised! Even if you have taken it before, you might want to take it again! We changed up many of the tricks to keep our minds fresh and learning! Keep reading!

Looking for something fun to do with your dog? Tricks class is the perfect place to build your training skills, bolster your dog’s confidence, and build an even more wonderful relationship with your dog! Besides, you will learn all sorts of Tricks to show off to friends!

Novice Tricks A and Novice Tricks B will each teach different tricks, but still at the Novice Level. So…you can take Novice A and turn right around and take Novice B the next session or visa versa. There is no “order”. In both classes you will learn the foundational skills of trick training but will be learning those skills with different sets of tricks.

Special Notes: All types of dogs are welcome - young, old, large, small. Tricks will be modified, if needed, for dogs’ physical abilities.

This class is best suited for:  Dog/handler teams looking for something fun to do together, and who have a basic understanding of clicker training.

Min/Max Enrollment:  4/8

Bring the Following to Class:
- Flat buckle collar or harness
- 6 foot leash
- Water and water dish
- Small, tasty, easy-to-digest treats (avoid oily treats for the sake of our lovey mats)
- A pouch or deep pockets for easy access to treats
- Clicker

You will learn:
- Improved clicker skills in shaping, luring, and capturing
- Foundation skills for building towards more complicated tricks
- How to teach your dog FUN behaviors you can be proud to show off

Your Dog will learn a wide variety of tricks like:

Novice A Novice B

Touch & Paw Targets Retrieve anything
Wipe Your Feet Pull (like a toy wagon)
Roll Out Yoga Mat Hand Signals (sit, down, come, etc.)
Spin Both Directions Down/Way Down
"Up Against the Wall” Shame on You
Bounce (jump up/down in place) Chin Down
Leg Weave Roll Over
Sit Pretty Push Balls
