This introduction to agility class puts the emphasis on FUN as a Team while you learn the basics of beginning agility. No lectures here! You start out on night one working with real agility equipment. Over 6 weeks you will learn the skills to teach your dog to safely jump, climb, walk planks and zoom through tunnels under your direction. If you have a dog with lots of energy, this is the sport to try. If you have watched agility competitions on YouTube you already know that dogs LOVE agility. They get to do what dogs do best: run, jump, climb and basically have a blast being a dog. You learn to guide them around a course and build a true Team. That is the human’s challenge and when you “get it” it is massively satisfying. As long as dogs are healthy they can enjoy Intro to Agility at any age. Dogs as young as 12 months can safely participate in this class. Come join the FUN!
Special Notes: We cannot accept dog or human aggressive dogs. Please contact us for more information if you are dealing with these issues.
This class is best suited for: Any dog who likes to move but who might not get enough opportunity to run, jump, tunnel and wear off their energy. Owners do not have to be athletes! If you are new to the sport of agility this is a good way to see if this sport is for you.
