Agility Practice Time

$15.00

Cost: $15

Prerequisites: Dogs must be proficient on most agility obstacles, or be enrolled in beginning agility classes, to be able to safely participate in Agility Practice Time.

Length: 1.5 hours in length and limited to six teams

Location: The Gym

Special Notes: Vaccination Records (rabies/parvo/distemper) are required for all dogs who come to Agility Practice Time, whether they are actively participating or not. Sign up and pay for each dog who will be participating.

Agility Practice Times will serve "Trialing/Getting Ready to Trial" teams.  Enroll in these if you are already trialing, or have taken enough agility classes for your dog to navigate all the obstacles at full height safely.

If you want some suggestions on how to fix an issue, help will be available but remember this is not a class.  It is a time to practice and have fun with your dog.

In tune with our positive reinforcement values, we use flat buckle collars, harnesses, and head halters in our training. TCCA campus is free of prong, choke, and e-collars and cannot be used during Practice Time.

Description: Agility Practice Time in The Gym is your chance to practice on regulation agility equipment with Great Mats for safe footing. If you have questions during practice, or would like guidance, staff will be available to help. For safety reasons, dogs should be proficient on most agility obstacles, or enrolled in beginning agility classes, before participating.

In line with our positive reinforcement values, we use flat buckle collars, harnesses, and head halters in our training. TCCA campus is free of prong, choke, and e-collars.

Vaccination requirements for Practice Time are the same as for regular classes:  A proof of rabies certificate must be provided by your veterinarian, as well as vaccination against Distemper and Parvo.  We also highly recommend a Bordetella shot, flea and tick prevention, and regular de-worming.  Please consult with your veterinarian for your dog’s health needs.

A release form is required to be signed and submitted before attending any type of Practice Time. You will complete this upon online registration.
