Description: Polish, Politeness, and Consistency

Yes, your dog is finally learning to walk on a leash without pulling you all the time, and you are learning to train! Good for both of you! Now it is time to step it up a notch and add some polish, duration and consistency. In Family Dog Manners II we will put refinement on our dog’s ability to walk calmly by our side on a leash, go to their mat and stay put, greet other dogs and human visitors with polite calm, as well as polish other behaviors. We want to have consistent performance when we ask for a behavior, whether or not other dogs and humans are in the room. We want to become the focus for our dog so they want to do the things we ask, happily and quickly. We will increase the distance for recalls and stays, and incorporate a variety of games into our training so it isn’t routine or boring for dogs or humans.

Special Notes: During nice weather, this class might involve training with your dog outside of the building, on our fully fenced campus. Wear comfortable shoes so you can safely walk over gravel, grass and pavement. The distances are fairly close, but the surfaces vary.

This class is best suited for:  Any dogs who have strong foundation skills in basic at home and are wanting to improve those in more public settings and with more distractions.
